| Liszt’s piano piece "Obermann Valley" comes from Liszt’s first collection of works "Travel Years"-the sixth Swiss chapter.Its inspiration comes from reading the epistolary novel "Oberman" written by French writer Senancour during his travels in Switzerland,in which the protagonist shares Liszt’s experience and the feeling in the background of the times,which resonates and composes the song.In this paper,through the background,music analysis,and performance difficulties of Obermann,combined with the comparison of other musical versions,in-depth excavation of the connotation of the work and provide a theoretical basis for the interpretation of the song. |
