Franz Liszt is a famous Hungarian composer,virtuoso pianist.He is one of the most significant musicians in the Romantic Period.Liszt advanced techniques of piano performance and researched piano audio function.As the most prominent pianist of that time,he made great influence on piano music.Vallee d'Obermann,the investigation object of this article,was the sixth of Liszt's piano work Annees de Pelerinage,Premiere Annee,Suisse.To help the performer comprehend Vallee d'Obermann and give a better way on practice and performance, this article analyzed the connection between literature and music,form and principle of interpretation in Vallee d'Obermann and proved my issues:Compare the different musical ideas of musician and writer;The character of personal style in Liszt's music; How can a composer draw inspiration from a literature which had been written by a author who has a distinct ideology.
