The end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China was a turning point in the development of China's history. It was not only a fundamental change in the nature of China's society, but also a crucial period for the transition of Chinese academics from tradition to modern times. In this period, the Mohism began to take shape and formed a revival of Mohism.Thoughts.In the pre-Qin period,Confucianism was called "Dominant study".However, with the passage of time and the replacement of the dynasty, the thought of Mohism gradually declined. After the Qin and Han Dynasties,it was almost "Vanish".There have been several revival in history, but they are all short-lived.Until the late Qing Dynasty, the Opium War opened China's national gate, and Western thoughts were gradually introduced to China. While studying Western thoughts, domestic scholars also searched for ideas of saving the country in Chinese traditional ideology and culture, leading to the decline of the main body of Confucianism. On the basis of the textual research in the Qianglong and Jiaqing Dynasty periods,Zhuzi philosophical began to revive in the late Qing Dynasty.Among them, the Mohism just adapted to the needs of the times and society, and there are many similarities between Mohism and Western science and technology. The rise of the study of Mohism has formed the revival of Mohism. In the late Qing Dynasty, the study of Mohism mainly focused on the school notes and exegesis, and also made remarkable achievements in this respect. In particular, written by Sun Yi-rang on “the renaissance of Mohism” was called a masterpiece of the times, and he was deeply impressed by the study of the later scholars' Mohism.however,it has not made much progress in other aspects of Mohism. It was not until in the early of the Republic of China that with the rise of Western learning and the rise of new studies, scholars began to experiment with the Western research methods and proposed new methods and models. This is a major breakthrough in the study of Mohism. The transformation of research methods has injected new vitality into the Mohism revival trend, among which Liang Qichao and Hu Shi are the most contributors.Among them,Liang Qichao used the method of Western theory to turn the study of Mohism studies from collating research to the study of jurisprudence. His "10 theory" of Mozi theory has always been an important proposition of scholars' research;Hu Shi used the study of integration between China and the West.In the method, the "Mozi Debate" and "Three Tables" of Mohism are explained in detail. It can be seen that the late Qing Dynasty and in the early Republic of China were important periods for the study of Mohism. The study of Mohism in this period promoted the dissemination of Western thoughts and promoted the development of society, which had a profound impact on Chinese society and traditional scholarship.
