the Late Qing Dynasty and the Early Republic of China, the changing of social environment, especially from the development of mass media, newspaper and magazine, made us to see a group of Chinese intellectual women from the tradition to the modern transformation. Understanding of modern female intellectuals have certain achievements, but mostly concentrated in the women’s liberation and individual research, and lacked of a comprehensive study of the group. This paper mainly through the study of the media of a batch of representative of women, with Li Huixian, kangTongwei, Pan Xuan, Qiu Yufang, Chen xiefen Qiu Jin, Tang Qunying, Lv Bicheng, Shang Guoli, Zhang Zhaohan, Zhang Hanying media, with emphasis on the intellectual women, analyzing the forming process of the modern intellectual women molecular group, summarizes the forming characteristics.The first part discusses the Late Qing Dynasty and the Early Republic of China social environment changes. With the invasion of foreign capitalism and self-sufficient natural economy gradually disintegrated, western missionaries and modified early Chinese intellectuals will introduce western equality between men and women thought to China, such as the reformists and revolutionaries are the women’s liberation as the important content of his political thoughts and political movement. These new women after accepting equality between men and women, the women’s liberation thoughts, began to awaken, they were concerned about women’s destiny, concerned about the fate of the nation, and create social groups through running publications, establishing schools, such as, fight for women’s equality and independence, strive for women’s education, participation, new thoughts, new ideas.The second part discusses the modern knowledge of the Late Qing Dynasty and the Early Republic of China group of women’s education background and knowledge structure transformation. They received a good family education, mostly read literature and history, has a profound literary background, the traditional culture has deep mark in them, that they had the basic writing and the ability to judge, men in the home the enlightenment of the intellectuals lead they have new options, and girls’ schools education and studying abroad is that they can get out of the family, to society, and even abroad, obtaining new knowledge, form a new knowledge and value system.The third part discusses the Late Qing Dynasty and the Early Republic of China social role transformation of modern intellectual women groups. Traditional women’s role is a single family roles, in the qing dynasty society appeared two kinds of new ideas on female role, respectively is a new concept of wife and mother and the mother of the national point of view. At the same time, this batch of female intellectuals accepted the modern education, formed its own knowledge system, but also formed a unique values, to re-examine the women in the country’s social role in the family, family roles make a challenge to traditional women, to redefine its role. They hope that through their own practical action hope can get the same rights as men.The fifth part summarizes the Late Qing Dynasty and the Early Republic of China characteristics and limitations of modern intellectual women. The awakening of female consciousness is the biggest characteristic, the influence of the women’s liberation movement after the may fourth movement, its limitations is the press activities are used to express demands, the time is not long, the degree of dependence on men, scope of activities affect a woman’s small, traditional values affect its behavior.
