The teaching of English reading is the main way to improve the English level and the ability of language use.Reading is the process of the reader’s active acquisition of information,self-study,and self broadening of cognition.It is the process of dialogue with the reader.With the more and more extensive exchanges between Chinese and foreign cultures,English as a universal language is becoming more and more inaccessible to people’s real life.While reading is a indispensable part of students’ English learning,compared to other ways of learning,reading has its own unique advantages,for example,can let students better understand English grammar and the use of the environment,but also to understand their English speaking countries outside the customs and culture,increase the daily English word recognition rate.So,reading this way is a great part of the high school English learning.However,China’s current high school students English reading ability is poor,the overall level is not optimistic,the main reason is that most students can understand the reading method,so to change the domestic current situation,must be in the technique to an antidote against the disease,to improve students’ English reading ability.This paper through the investigation and analysis of the current our country high school students English reading learning,that need to be improved in the teaching,the reading teaching theory as the basis,issued by the way of questionnaire,find out the problems existing in the teaching of English reading in senior high school,through the simulation of the Model United Nations "in the analysis of the application of teaching reading in high school English,in order to improve the students’ English reading efficiency.The innovation of this paper is to guide students to play the role of foreign diplomats of members of United Nations by simulating the activities of Model United Nations,and discuss all kinds of problems according to agenda.Through this activity,we can cultivate students’ comprehensive ability to use English language and autonomous learning ability,inquiry ability,cooperation ability,problem analysis and problem-solving ability and innovative ability,so as to cultivate students’ English reading thinking.At present,with the simulation of the Model United Nations related literature material are few,and most of them and to improve the students’ oral English ability,Model UN reading teaching practice in senior high school English topic is novel,"Model Model United Nations" activities to enable students to learn and use English in a real and natural environment in english.Therefore,it is an effective way to carry out the simulation of the Model United Nations in the teaching of English reading in high school.This text is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,focusing on the background and significance of the subject survey.The second chapter focuses on the practical research on the simulated Model United Nations in high school English reading teaching at home and abroad.The third chapter is the theoretical basis,mainly through the experiential teaching method,the situational teaching method,the constructivism theory in three aspects.The fourth chapter is an analysis of the current situation of high school English reading teaching,including the collection and collation of the numbers,so as to induce the improvement of English Teaching in high school.The fifth chapter mainly expounds the application of the simulated Model United Nations in the high school English reading teaching.The sixth chapter mainly expounds the conclusions and limitations of this study.
