The Relationship Between Proactive Personality And Career Maturity In College Students:The Mediating Role Of Achievement Motive And Specialty Identity

Full employment is conducive to social stability and harmony,career maturity is an important indicator to measure the professional psychological development level.Career maturity can reflect the future employment behavior and employment attitude of college students.On this basis,this article introduced three variables: proactive personality,achievement motive and specialty identity,aims to exam the career maturity characteristics of current college students',explore the intrinsic mechanism of proactive personality and career maturity,and exam the mediating role of achievement motive and specialty identity among them.This study used the Proactive Personality Scale(PPS)revised by Shang Jiayin and Gan Yiqun(2009),the Achievement Motive Scale(AMS)revised by Ye Renmin and Hagtvet(1990),the Specialty Identity Questionnaires compiled by Qin Panbo(2009)and the Career Maturity Inventory revised by Zhang Zhiyong(2006)as the main measuring tools and chose 575 college students as the research objects.Through descriptive statistics,correlation analysis,regression analysis and mediating effect test of data by using SPSS24.0 and PROCESS plug-in,the results as follows:1?In the career maturity of students,the sub-dimension career goals and relatives rely,the gender differences are significant,the male career goal score is higher than that of female students,the female relatives rely on the score is higher than the male students;The grade difference is significant in career maturity.In achievement motive,there was no significant difference in grade,but was significant difference in gender.In proactive personality and specialty identity,there were no significant differences in gender and grade.2?Proactive personality,the pursuit of success,specialty identity and career maturity,career reference were significantly positively correlated.3?Proactive personality,the pursuit of success,specialty identity can significantly and positively predict career maturity and career reference.4?Pursuit of success and specialty identity play mediate roles in the proactive personality and career maturity,as follows:(1)Pursuit of success and specialty identity plays a mediate role between proactive personality and career maturity respectively.The pursuit of success and specialty identity plays a chain mediate role between the proactive personality and career maturity.(2)Pursuit of success and specialty identity play a mediate role between proactive personality and career maturity respectively.The pursuit of success and specialty identity plays a chain mediate role between the proactive personality and career reference.
