Study On The Transmutation About Jian-an Intellectual's View Of Virtue

Jian-An period is an important transition from Classics of the Han dynasty to Wei-Jin metaphysics.The evolution of the intellectual's view of virtue in Jian-An period is very influential in this transition period.In this transition,Cao Cao's "talent-seeking decree" has not only refined the process,but also promoted this process.This paper,using the methods of text analysis,thought comparison and dialectical unity of history and logic,taking the "talent-seeking decree" as the center,is to make the study of the evolution of the intellectual's view of virtue in Jian-An period.In this paper,the author firstly reveals the ideological background of "talent-seeking decree " and the transmutation of the intellectual's view of virtue,and demonstrates the inevitability of the evolution of the intellectual's view of virtue in Jian-An period.The Misfortune of Proscribed Party caused the decline of Confucian ethics at the end of Han Dynasty.The Huangjin Rebellion provided a way for the dissemination and development of Taoism and Buddhism ethics,which impacted the Confucian ethics system.The phenomenon of "Extreme" which is prevalent among the people in the class of intellectuals has brought about the revival of the legalist ideology.And the legal family has come back to the view of the intellectuals.Secondly,the author sorts out the historical process of "talent-seeking decree" and the transmutation of the intellectual's view of virtue,and demonstrates the inevitable trend of the evolution of the intellectual's view of virtue in Jian-An period.The first "talent-seeking decree" puts forward the idea of meritocracy,which denies honesty and emphasizes talent.The second decree is dominated by the idea of "non-virtue",which divides the relationship into virtue and talent,and inverts the status of virtue and talent.The third decree completely disintegrates the tradition of the intellectual's view of virtue,and creates an extreme view of talent.Thirdly,the author sums up the moral implication of "talent-seeking decree" and the transmutation of the intellectual's view of virtue,and discusses the significance ofthe evolution of the intellectual.After explaining the essential meaning of virtue and talent,discerning the correct relation between virtue and talent,reflecting on the rational practice of virtue and talent,the author finds out the root cause of the inevitability and the inevitable historical direction about the evolution of the intellectual's view of virtue in Jian-An period.Finally,the author demonstrates the modern substance of "talent-seeking decree" and the transmutation of the intellectual's view of virtue,and discusses the contemporary value of the evolution of the intellectual.The questions about view of virtue in citizen's morality construction,officials' election standards and the struggle against corruption,explain the role of the transmutation about Jian-An intellectual's virtue view in China's contemporary development and revitalization.
