From two aspects of the dynamic process of Chinese character writing and the static results of writing,this paper makes a comparative study on Chinese character writing between elementary-level Chinese Second Language learners of Chinese-heritage and Non-Chinese-heritage students.The dynamic process of Chinese character writing is to observe the writing of Chinese characters from the perspective of time order,including writing speed,writing pause,pen direction and stroke order.The static result is actually the analysis of the characters that have been written,that is,the spatial relations between strokes,components,strokes and parts from the perspective of space.On the basis of video materials,the paper analyses the errors of elementary-level Chinese Second Language learners of Chinese-heritage and Non-Chinese-heritage students of Chinese characters,in which the types of errors in the dynamic process mainly include six types of errors,such as the slip of the strokes,the pen orientation error,the serial errors,the pens error,the component one and the structural order replacement,and the errors in the static writing results.There are ten kinds of phenomena,such as stroke error,multiple strokes error,few strokes error,the connection error between strokes,the proportion and position deviation between the strokes,the change of parts,the increase and subtraction of components,the deformation of the components,the improper layout of the space and the change of the structure of the whole word.This paper makes a specific comparative analysis of the types of errors of the two types of students,and further explores the reasons for their differences in writing based on the questionnaire survey.At the end of the paper,this paper put forward some proposals for the corresponding teaching suggestions on elementary-level Chinese Second Language learners of Chinese-heritage and Non-Chinese-heritage students.
