| This report is based on the author’s interpreting tasks during the summer internship at a company in Shandong province for an Indian couple.The focus of this report is the application of Interpretive Theory in the business interpretation.The purpose of this report is to,on this basis of introduction of the Interpretive Theory,explore the influencing factors in the process of interpreting and related interpreting strategies adopted in the practice,so as to reveal the application of Interpretive Theory in the interpreting process and its guidance towards interpretation practice.The report is composed of five parts.The first part contains the basic task description,including the background information,demands for the interpreter,and significance of the task.The second part is the process description consisting of preparation before the task,quality control during the task,and comments from clients.The third part is theory introduction including langue and parole,sense and sense unit,linguistic knowledge and cognitive knowledge,and triangle model of interpreting.The fourth part is a case analysis comprising influencing factors,the Interpretive Theory and interpreting strategies from the perspective of Interpretive Theory.The last part contains the major findings,limitations and suggestions for future studies.The author sincerely hopes that this report will be of some use to the interpreting practices. |
