| For the may god Question of "Donghuang Taiyi",it is disputed by scholars of all dynasties. From Guodian Chu silk "Taiyi Shengshui" and Chuboshu "Si Shi",Donghuang Taiyi should be the ancestor of the Sun God(Fu Xi),that is,the older generation of solar gods, that is,the Lord of the gods. From the point of view of the Quadripartite pattern of solar cycle and witchcraft and spirit,in 11 chapters of "Nine Odes",excluding "Guo Shang" "Li Hun",the remaining nine articles are related to the solar cycle of the Quadripartite concept and witchcraft and spirit phenomenon, which is Quite in line with the "Nine numbers".Therefore, the number of "nine" refers to nine articles in addition to "Guo Shang" "Li Hun".However, these two articles still belong to "Nine Odes" and cannot be deleted. From the style of ancient books and the process of composing Chu ci,it is very likely that "Guo Shang" is Qu Yuan’s new work, and "Li Hun" is the "disorderly speech" of "Guo Shang" or "Nine Odes".The phenomenon of "night sacrifice" in "Nine Odes" has always been puzzled by the academic circles.According to the analysis of Chu Ju in the bamboo slips of Qinghua, the reason why "Nine Odes" appeared was because when Xiong Yi created the country, stole the cattle of the Ruo people to sacrifice, afraid of being discovered by the people, dare not sacrifice in the daytime,so had to choose the "night sacrifice." There are two main implications of the night sacrifice of "Nine Odes" : one is that the descendants of the State of Chu miss the hardships of their ancestors’ pioneering work and adhere to the ancestral system;the other is that the Chu people express their respect and desire for light, that is,the worship of the sun.As to the nature of "Nine Odes",from the analysis of the text of Jiangling Chu Tomb Prayer bamboo slips and Nine Odes, the Nine Odes is indeed a national sacrificial canon. The evolution of "Nine Odes" from small traditional culture to big traditional culture is the evolution process of "Nine Odes" from "Chu style" to "Song of Chu".There are profound political purposes and intentions behind the emergence of sacrifice of "Yue Wang" in "Nine Odes".Qu Yuan used "Nine Odes" to advise the King of Chu to open up territory and dominate the Central Plains. |
