A number of the unearthed documents which were excavated Since the 20th Century,which provide abundant data for our studies,and make our research get greater achievements.These text and their archaeological context provide us with knowledge about the development of early Chinese literature,thought,language,and script that missing for several thousand years,and they are transforming our under standing of all aspects of early Chinese studies.Especially,the unearthed documents hare an important and direct driving force on the study of myth and legend in ancient china.Chinese ancient myth and legend is important part of literary documents treasure house.Abundant myth and legend existed among the ancient inhabitants of Chinese, though a small portion was retained in Chinese ancient books.As a result we don't have enough material which is used in myth and legend study.Fortunately,the unearthed documents which containing relevant contents can give us chances to do the further study.Using Chu bamboo slips unearthed in recent years,such as Rongchengshi,Tangyuzhidao,Zigao;one chapter of the test on Chu silk,this paper believes that it is the only complete creation myth we can see today of the Pre-Qin China;and the Bronze Inscriptions in Western Zhou Dynasty,we can know the myth and legend in remote ages.According to comparative studies between the ancient literatures and unearthed documents,we can know the original visage,evolution process,and the concrete difference about the myth and legend in ancient china.Indeed,we are suddenly in a new era in which we are able to begin to answer questions that it will take generations of detailed research to resolve.
