"Building A New Outlook On Life"-the Research On Luo Jialun's Philosophy Of Life

Luo Jialun is a famous educator,thinker and social activist in China.His era is a period of drastic changes in the transition and transformation of old and new society in China.On the basis of deep reflection on the traditional outlook on life,he tried to construct a “new outlook on life” that can adapt to the requirements of the development of modern society.During the May 4th New Culture Movement,he developed the concept of a "new outlook on life".In 1923,the "science and metaphysics debate" which mainly involved the issue of the outlook on life allowed him to further think about the influence of science and metaphysics on the outlook on life.Until the publication of the "New Outlook on Life," his views on life are more mature and systematic,and it also marks the formation of his philosophy of life.When he constructed the system of “New Outlook on Life”,he first explored the question of life as an entry point.Through critical reflection on traditional philosophy and reasonable acceptance of Western values,he conceived a new outlook on life,namely,dynamic,creative,and large.The outlook on life leads to three corresponding ways of life,namely,the power of life,the will of life,and the life of the strong.In the implementation of the "New Outlook on Life," he also highlighted the philosophical thinking centered on shaping the "strong" and put forward "moral courage","knowledge responsibility","cultural cultivation" and "sportsmanship".The demeanor "achieves the survival of honor" and ultimately seeks for the realization,creation and immortality of the self and the pursuit of the "great self".Luo Jialun's "New Outlook on Life" was formed during the special era of the Anti-Japanese War to save the country.It aims to inspire young generation to be proactive,pursue progress,and ultimately contribute to the victory against Japanese imperialism.Its position is markedly improved and the color of idealism.However,the "New Outlook on Life" was indeed popular at the time,encouraging countless patriots to throw their heads and throw blood.Even into the peacetime of the 1960 s,the "New Outlook on Life" has influenced many young generation in Taiwan.For the current Chinese society,Luo Jialun's new outlook on life still has significant value.At least,it is conducive to promoting people's cultivation of a sound personality,strengthening their ideals and beliefs,carrying forward patriotism,and promoting social harmony and progress.
