| This study focused on the effect of rejection sensitivity on the psychological adaptation of migrant children,and on this basis,the study explored the effects of urban identity and group contact on the rejection sensitivity and psychological adaptation of migrant children.Study 1 try to find out the difference of rejection sensitivity between migrant children and urban children in Shanghai by questionnaire survey.The difference of overall happiness was compared,and the prediction of rejection sensitivity on the urban adaptation of migrant children was also explored.Study 1 found that the rejection sensitivity of migrant children was significantly higher than that of urban children;Besides,rejection sensitivity negatively predicted the psychological adaptation of migrant children.Study 2 explored the effect of urban identity on the rejection sensitivity and psychological adaptation of migrant children by prime paradigm experiment;Study 2 found that the effect of urban identity on rejection sensitivity and psychological adaptation was not significant.Study 3 utilized the paradigm of imaginative intergroup contact to explore the effect of the intergroup contact between migrant children and urban children on the rejection sensitivity and psychological adaptation of migrant children;Study 3 found that the effect of intergroup contact on the rejection sensitivity of migrant children was significant,and the intergroup contact affected the psychological adaptation of the migrant children by mediating rejection sensitivity: positive intergroup contact can reduce the negative effect of rejection sensitivity on migrant children.On the basis of study 3,study 4 explored whether self-esteem moderate the relation of the effect of intergroup contact on psychological adaptation through rejection sensitivity,and result showed that the self-esteem moderated the effect of group contact on rejection sensitivity and psychological adaptation: compared with high self-esteem migrant children,the children with low self-esteem were more likely to be affected by low intergroup contact on rejection sensitivity and psychological adaptation.The study found that rejection sensitivity is the risk of migrant children’s psychological adaptation,and contacting with urban children positively might be a alternative solution. |
