Language identity takes a long and complex process to achieve,with its features of potentiality and dynamism,etc.Located in the border village of "the directly-entering-socialism ethnic groups" regions in Lancang of Yunnan province,the Lahu nationality,as a backward minority group,has received much concerns by the outside world in recent decades.And for its linguistic eco-environment and relatively closed geographic environment,the Lahu nationality formed its own unique language situation and identity status on its country's commonly used language.The identity status on China's common language of "the directly-entering-socialism ethnic groups" in Lancang Lahu Autonomous County of Sino-Burmese border area not only directly influences those speakers' self-identity,national identity,status identity,state identity and other identifications,but also has a direct impact on the development of their spoken and written language,the modernization of education,the process of well-off society building,and the progression of economy,culture and society and many other aspects.This thesis is done through questionnaire,with the methods of literature review,theoretical analysis coupled with empirical analysis,social networking survey and quantitative analysis,etc.to explore the aforementioned Lahu people's identity status on national common spoken language,get to know the directly-entering-socialism ethnic groups' degree and capability of using and speaking Mandarin Chinese,define the standard spoken Chinese levels that each minority of those groups should reach,and reconstruct the implementation plans to improve the ability to speak and use the national commonly-used language among Lahu people in the before said areas.This paper includes four chapters: the first chapter mainly introduces the origins of studying this subject,and the literature review in academic circles,the theories and methods of this research work and the designing of the survey scheme;in the hope of better knowing the Lancang Lahu people's social status with the help of these information.The second chapter discusses the following four aspects: the main usingsubject status of Putonghua in the border village of "the directly-entering-socialism ethnic groups" regions in Lancang of Yunnan province,and the identity state of Lahu people on dispersing information conducted by Mandarin,the Lahu people's identity status on Putonghua as a vehicle for communication,and their identity in the effect of the spreading of Putonghua in the region.The third chapter concludes the characteristics of those Lahu people's identity on the standard Chinese in accordance with the data from the filed investigation,and analyses the factors influencing their acknowledgement on Putonghua from mentality,attitude,behavior and so on.Starting from the correlation between recognizing the national commonly-used language and many other identifications,the fourth chapter illustrates the importance and necessity of improving the Lahu people's knowledge on standard Chinese and their ability of using it,and its relation with the construction of expanding Putonghua's influence.And adopting the way of dividing the Lahu people living in the border village of "the directly-entering-socialism ethnic groups" regions in Lancang of Yunnan province into different types of pragmatic subjects to define the Putonghua levels each subject should attain,and put forward the ways and means to promote the Lahu people's Chinese ability living in above mentioned region.
