An Interactive Narrative Study On VR Films

In the past two years,VR(virtual reality)has become a hot topic for discussion among industry professionals and enthusiasts.Among them,VR has become one of the focuses in the field of film and television;In the study of VR,the interactive nature of one of the characteristics of VR precisely reflects the development direction of narratology-interactive narrative,which provides a solid foundation for the two to discuss together.So,how VR films and interactive narratives in production,learning,research and other aspects of the situation and interactive narrative can promote the narrative mode of VR films have become topics that can be discussed.Therefore,exploring the interactive narration in VR films is not only a new type of research thought,but also a necessary research with academic value.This article mainly discusses the possibility and necessity of the introduction of interactive narration from the development and characteristics of interactive narratives.The VR short films won by the International Film Festival and Television Festival in the past five years are the main objects of study and explore the interactive narrative issues in the films.From the aspects of image presentation,interactive narrative features,audience acceptance,artistic thinking and future prospects of VR films,the analysis was conducted.This article believes that interactive narration and interactive VR can be integrated with each other.VR films can introduce interactive narration and become a new form of narration for VR films.This article is the first to summarize the relevant research results of interactive narrative and VR,and lists the research objects of this article,namely the VR films won by the International Film Festival and Television Festival in the past five years;then,it highlights the process of comparison between interactive narrative and traditional narrative.The interactive features of interactive narrative and the introduction of VR in the application of interactive narrative;then,based on the analysis of VR technology and characteristics,combing the development of VR in film and television,and starting to analyze and research the interactive narrative of VR films.Help,Invasion,The Detective,The Wolf in the Wall,Henry and many others have obtained the exploration and analysis of the VR films of the International Film Festival and the TV Festival to illustrate the full perception and high substitution of VR images.Deep immersions and multiple interactions,etc.;Finally,calmly thinking about the current situation of VR films,recognizing the deficiencies in the development of the current stage,but also on the interactive narration of the future of VR films and development prospects.
