Research On Protection And Development Of Traditional Villages In Sichuan Province

Traditional villages,with its historical and cultural information and natural ecological landscape resources,are an important carrier of the Chinese worthy traditional culture,a source of agricultural civilization in China,and a “living fossil” of rural history,culture,and natural resources.However,as the evolution of modern civilization,the number of traditional villages in China has come to decrease,and the folk cultures related to them have been disappearing.On March 8,2018,The president Xi Jinping went to Hubei,and emphasized: “we must protect,in particular,traditional villages,ethnic villages,and traditional buildings,and build a modern version of Fuchun Mountain with its own distinctive features”.In recent years,in order to protect the rich historical information and cultural landscape resources,the academical community has paid much attention to how to protect and develop traditional villages.And the study on traditional villages is getting more popular.The traditional villages of Sichuan Province are the remote source and base of farming life of the Sichuan people.They carry and inherit the historical and traditional memories,wisdom of production and life,and the cultural and artistic fruits culture and art of the Han,Yi,Tibetan and Qiang ethnic minority.They are an important part of the Ba-shu culture and the historical witness of the common creation,development,and prosperity of each nation.However,with the rapid development of Sichuan's industrialization,urbanization,and modernization,although great efforts made successively to implement the protection projects like "historical and cultural villages," "Chinese traditional villages," and "beautiful villages," problems still abounds in the course of protection and development of traditional villages.This article,using literature research methods,interdisciplinary research methods,and statistical analysis methods,takes the current situation of traditional village protection and development in Sichuan Province as an entry point,and focuses on studying the difficulties and causes of the protection and development of traditional villages in Sichuan Province on the basis of combing the related concepts of traditional villages,the relevant research results at home and abroad with a large number of documentary studies and statistic statistical analysis.Besides,considering the strategy of rural revitalization,this article puts forward measures to promote the protection and development of traditional villages in Sichuan Province in terms of economy,ecology,culture,governance,and people's livelihood,hoping these measures and suggestions will be of reference values to the protection and development of traditional villages in Sichuan Province.
