A Translation Report On From Water Productivity To Water Security:a Paradigm Shift?

Water is essential for human survival,and it plays an important role on human existence and development.The discourses on water security is proposed and discussed by scholars of water culture research,which expand the content of water issues in academic fields.The source text is selected from Water Security: Principle,Perspectives and Practices.The book aims to introduce research results and policies in the field of water security,as well as the global thinking on water security proposed by practitioners and scholars.Meanwhile,it affirms the awareness of policy and puts forward solutions to water security issues from different perspectives.The translation report is divided into four parts.The first part introduces text selection and project significance.The second part describes the translation process,including preparation before translation,theoretical framework and proofreading.The third part discusses translation strategies in accordance with the style of academic text from three perspectives,that is,lexical features,syntactical features and textual features.The last part is conclusion.It not only summarizes the translator’s achievements in the translation process,but also points out the limitations.
