In China,marriage is not only an individual behavior,but also the family.Children’s concept of mate choice is not only heavily influenced by parents’ spouse,but also sometimes decided by their parents in real life,arrange a blind date for children,extremely even make a marriage contract,which cause family conflict and eventually become social contradictions.This paper researched the youth and their parents mate preference under the background of China cultural.It is divided into three parts to study the value of mate selection under ten kind of spouses,especially the studying "filial piety" this factor plays in the young people and children in mate choice view effect.China is a country that attaches great importance to filial piety.The "filial piety" culture is the ethical pillar of Chinese culture.Therefore,under the influence of pursuing "harmony" as the highest criterion and the belief of "filial piety," when love is opposed by family affection,the conflict dilemma will be more complicated,and the influence of parental intervention on children’s love relationship is also more complicated.Moreover,the Chinese family model has several generations of cohabitation and parents and adult children living together,which makes the impact of the child’s marriage choice not only affect their own future family life will also affect family harmony.What is unavoidable is that the children’s choice of spouse will inevitably affect the genes of their grandchildren and the family environment of their grandchildren.The above reasons lead the parents to be more concerned about the child’s choice of spouse and even to intervene.However,the role of filial piety in the child’s mate selection process is very subtle.This is reflected not only in the fact that the child has individualized choices that are contrary to the parents’ wishes,but because the filial piety is a constraint on one’s own personality,and in the standard of the mate selection.Rating,that is,hoping to find a filial partner.The first study asking the youth to score for spouse under three cases,respectively is choosing a spouse by himself or herself,choosing a spouse by your mother,and choosing by your father,from the young people’s point of view,to observe the differences in parent-child spouse differences.The second study is asking the older to score for spouse under three cases,respectively is choosing a spouse for their daughter,choosing a spouse for their son and choosing a spouse for themselves,from the perspective of the parents to confirm the results of the first study,and to explore whether this difference can rule out the causes of the characteristics of the era;The third study adopts spouse coins to simulation to research the preferences of middle aged and elderly subjects when their mate selection resources are high,middle or low,to study the nature of parent-child spouse differences,especially the fact that parents have specific preferences for their children.The results show that there are differences in mate preferences between parents and children,the elderly will pay more attention to family background than young people,the preferences of young people for mate selection are in line with most of the previous theories.Boys value the characteristics of good genes such as body appearance,and girls value the qualities of good resources such as social status.But in the elderly for their own when the spouse is not the family background as the main element of inspection,the mate preferences of family backgrounds are derived from their special identities as parents and the special status of their children’s marriage.And parents have necessities and luxury products for their children’s mates,and in their personal conditions as possible more attention to internal quality,these intrinsic qualities are luxuries for children’s spouses.And resource characteristics,such as "income" and "social status" and less attention,explain that these qualities that represent good resources are necessities,and their requirements are reduced when their own conditions are improved.
