A Preliminary Research On The Unearthed Porcelain In Shandong Province From Song To Yuan Dynasties

Although Shandong is not theMost important porcelain province in history,it still has a place in the history of Chinese porcelain development.According to archaeological data,porcelain handicraft of Shandong began in the late Northern Dynasties.During the Sui and Tang Dynasties,the development of porcelain handicrafts was relatively slow,there was few kiln sites were found in Shandong Province.Kiln wereMore concentrated in Zaozhuang and Zibo during the Song Jin and Yuan Dynasties.The porcelain handicraft production technology was relativelyMature,and various product types and increased output.in addition,ruins,tombs,and shipwrecks also unearthed a large number of porcelains produced during the Song and Yuan Dynasties in Shandong Province,including products from local kilns and products from kilns in Hebei,Shanxi,Henan,and Jiangxi.it is an importantMaterial to discuss the level of porcelain handicrafts and ceramics trade in Shandong during this period.This article is a preliminary research on the unearthed porcelain in Shandong Province from Song to Yuan Dynasties.TheMain contents are as follows:The first is the systematic collection of porcelain unearthed in kiln,tombs,and urban sites in Shandong Province,and lists statistics.This is the basis for the study.The second is to sort out the research history and current situation of this topic.Overall,the previous studies on porcelain unearthed in Shandong were still relatively weak.Thirdly,we combed the Podi,Cicun,Boshan,Zhongchenhao,and Taiping ancient kiln.The porcelain types(glaze color,Modeling,etc.),stage characteristics,and firing techniques were analyzed and summarized in detail,trying to outline the general appearance of porcelain production during Song,Jin,and Yuan Dynasties in Shandong Province.Fourthly,this article systematically discusses the porcelain that have been excavated outside of the kiln site.First,the types of porcelains that were unearthed in Shandong Province were combed and analyzed.Combine theMaterials of the Time-defining tombs and refine them in stages.it can be divided into five periods.The first period is the early period of the Northern Song Dynasty,the second period is the late period of the Northern Song Dynasty,the third period is the Jin Dynasty,the fourth period is the Yuan Dynasty.In each period,we analyze the types and characteristics of typical porcelain.Fifth,this article focuses on the preliminary discussion of porcelain that was found outside the kiln site.They are divided into two groups.The first group is local kiln products and the second group is kiln products outside of Shandong Province.in the first group,the porcelain from the local kiln site was compared with the porcelain that found in other locations,illustrating the characteristics of the product from the local kiln.in the second group,through comparison with the porcelain characteristics of the kilns in the Song and Yuan Dynasties,it was presumed that the Porcelain produced outside of Shandong Province wereMainly derived from Ding,Cizhou,Jun,Jian,Longquan,Yaozhou,and Jingdezhen.
