Belarus is a multi-ethnic country and its language policy has different development directions in different periods.Belarusian language policy can be attributed to the three historical stages:The instability of the early period before the Russian Empire;From Belarusianization to Russianization in the Soviet period;From brief Belarusianization to diversification in Contemporary Belarus.Belarusian language policy showed three characteristics:nationality and instability;linguistic politicization;from unstable development towards diversified development.It is mainly influenced by Belarusian social linguistic conditions;the value of Belarusian national language symbolism and Russia.Belarus is an important country among more than 60 countries along the "Belt and Road".The launch of the "Belt and Road" initiative has had two impacts on contemporary Belarusian language policy:The first is to deepen cooperation in language teaching between the two countries.The number of Belarusian people learning Chinese is increasing.The scale of Chinese language teaching in Belarus is continuously expanding.The influence of Chinese language on Belarus and its people is continuously promoting.Secondly,the "Belt and Road" has created a large number of jobs for Chinese learners in Belarus,provided support for the Belarusian labor market.
