Domestic non-profit organizations and social enterprises are still in its early stage, whose mechanisms and evaluation systems remain to be enhanced. On the other hand, the United States,Japan and other developed countries as well as Taiwan,China and Hong Kong have accumulated much experience in social services, which can provide valuable reference for promoting domestic non-profit organizations(NPOs)forward. Therefore, interpreting in the conferences on such topics is of overriding importance. This report gives a detailed analysis of the challenges and difficulties, from the perspective of background information, linguistic and cultural differences between two languages, and note-taking system, encountered by the reporter in her practice at 2017 Seminar on Non-profit Organizations and Social Services, and proposes some solutions referring to the Interpreting Theory. The report mainly discusses the following barriers in the interpreting.First, the reporter is unfamiliar with the topics and the industry.Second, linguistic and cultural differences exist in the two languages.Third, the reporter's note-taking system is poorly structured.Several interpreting strategies and suggestions are offered after the reporter's serious reflection and summary, which can be concluded as expanding encyclopedic knowledge and terminology, profoundly apprehending the differences abounded in the two languages and improving note-taking system. The reporter also puts forward some strategies in the light of the Interpretive Theory proposed by Madame Danica Seleskovitch as follows:literal translation plus explanation, sentence restructuring and simplification and omission, hoping to provide reference for such interpreting in the future.
