A Project Report On The E-C Translation Of Construction Organization Design For Mauritius A1-M1 Project

As "The Belt and Road" Initiative has been advancing,China's communication with foreign countries has become increasingly frequent,especially communication in economy,technology and culture.In this context,the demand for language services is also growing.For Sino-foreign cooperative projects,the accurate translation of relevant construction guidance documents is the guarantee for smooth construction.This project report takes the author's translation practice on construction project documents in Mauritius as the research object and explores the translation methods of scientific texts.Based on the author's practical experience,this project report makes analysis of features of technical texts at lexical and syntactic level,such as the frequent use of terminologies,twin words,passive sentences and long sentences and so on.Under the guidance of Skopos Theory,this report puts forward three rules of translation:skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule and based on these rules,the report presents concrete and specific translation methods and techniques,such as division,omission,rearrangement of sentence structure and so on.Finally,the report gives feasible suggestions for translation of such texts:paying attention to preparatory work before translation,methods and techniques during translation process and proofreading work after translation;and consciously accumulating professional knowledge to ensure the quality of translation.
