Research On The Development And Management Mode Of Baby-nursing In Hubei In The Qing Dynasty

The baby-nursing business has already existed in ancient China.In the Qing Dynasty,under the joint efforts of the government and society,it achieved greater development.In the Qing Dynasty,the baby-nursing business could be the most valued philanthropy.Both the officials and the masses have devoted great efforts to developing it.The penetration rate of the foundling asylum ranked first among the non-governmental charities,only lower than that of the official support institute.The baby-nursing business in Hubei started late,after Yongzheng two years.Compared with the Jiangnan area,the Hubei area has its own unique features,with strong official color and always in a dominant position.After sorting out the predecessors' research and local records,it is not difficult to find that the baby-nursing business in Hubei has great difference in.cities and townships,in the eastern,middle and western part.It also differs from neighboring provinces.Because it has been affected by geographical conditions,economic development levels,local customs,and Western churches,etc.However,there are still few researches on the baby-nursing business in Hubei during the Qing Dynasty,and there are fewer to analyze the overall management model and characteristics of the baby-nursing organizations from the perspective of modern social security.In order to study the formation and evolution of the baby-nursing system in ancient China,it is necessary to understand the entire picture of the baby-nursing business's development in the Qing Dynasty from the specific performances of different periods and regions.This paper takes the local records of Hubei area as the basic data and combines previous research results to discuss the development of Hubei baby-nursing organizations,its operation management model,and the spatial differences compared with the Jiangnan area in the Qing Dynasty.Specifically studying the evolution of the baby-nursing business and the management model of its organization,so as to outline a complete baby-nursing system of taking,nursing and sending babies in the Qing Dynasty in Hubei.In the meantime,using an entry point of relationship between officials and the common people,this paper studied how all sectors of society coordinate in complex baby-nursing activities to ensure the development of the baby-nursing business in the entire region.
