The Study Of Yuan Hua’s Life And Literary Creation

Yuan Hua was a poet of the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty.He was Yang Weizhen’s student and learned writing poems called Tie Ya Ti.He always took part in parties in Yu Shan and was knowned as the talent of Kun Shan.Editors of The Si Ku Quan Shu said that his poems “A good essay which has solid substance and beautiful sentences and elegant”.His life experience and mental course can reflect the literati’s suffering and universal mentality,his poetry reflected the social reality at the end of Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty.It had the significance of connecting the past and the future.Yuan Hua and his works were of high value.But at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty,the literati were numerous,Yuan Hua’s talent was obscured,so the academic circles paid little attention to him,moreover,there were few articles that devoted to Yuan Hua’s research.The date of Yuan Hua’s death,native place,social intercourse were not clear and how his life experience affected poetry creation and other issues need to be systematically combed and discussed.On the basis of the “make an appraisal of personages and comment on affairs of human life”,we read Yuan Hua’s works,consulted local chronicles and genealogy,and we took the methods such as text analysis,econometric analysis,textual research to make statistics and addendum to Yuan Hua’s works.We investigated the date of Yuan Hua’s birth and death and his life experience,combed Yuan Hua’s social intercourse and creation,and analysized the style of Yuan Hua’s poetry.Yuan Hua and his friends such as Lv Cheng,Xie Yingfang,wrote many conversation poems.From these poems title,contents and the writing time,we can concluded that Yuan Hua was born in the third year of Yan You in Yuan Dynasty,and died in the twenty-fourth year of Hong Wu in Ming Dynasty,at the age of seventy-five years.Secondly,we analyzed and interpreted the phenomenon whether Yuan Hua in Kun shan or in Ru Yang.By examining Yuan Hua’s trackways,looking up the origin of the surnames and reading the family tree,we can confirm that Yuan Hua was a native of Taicang,Kunshan,and " Ru Yang Yuan Hua " was the self-identity of his own surname.Yuan Hua made friends widely.Friendship had a profound influence on Yuan Hua’s poetry creation,and his creative inspiration was directly or indirectly derived from communication.Lv Cheng,Guo Yi,Yin Kui and Lu Xiong were his local folks,Yang Weizhen was their teacher,so Yuan Hua and his friends wrote many poems called Tie Ya Ti,this promoted its inheritance and development.Yuan Hua also had a close relationship with Gu Ying,Zhang Yu,Chen Baosheng,Ni Zan,Xie Yingfang and other scholars at that time.They communicated poems,calligraphy,paintings,which showed the elegant life of the literati in Wu Zhong area.By statistical analysis,We can know the number of Yuan Hua’s works are 628,and the missing works 22 in total,so Yuan Hua’s whole works were 650.According to textual research,we compiled the chronology of Yuan Hua’s works,Yuan Hua’s literary creation can be divided into three periods: the early stage,the flourishing period and the silence period.Besides,Yuan Hua’s poetry was full of content and varied in styles,and can be divided into four styles in general.
