Jian'anqizi (the seven famous writers at the Jian'an Period towards the end of the Han Dynasty, i.e. Kong Rong, Chen Lin, Wang Can, Xu Can, Ruan Yuan, Ying Yang and Liu Zhen) were important writers at the Jian'an Period, and they had immortal standing in the Chinese literary history. They lived at the times between the Han Dynasty and the Wei Dynasty, came across the times of violent change of the society from turbulence and complaint to stability and peace, which were of the ideological and cultural characteristic from the fall of the Confucian ideology to the rise of the Taoist ideology, arousing of self-awareness of scholars, revival of the cultural spirit. All of them came from the families of scholar-officials and received the better family instruction and cultural influence, but they passed their lives from wandering to stability while the social and political environment was from turbulence to stability. This social environment, family background and personal experiences, of course, exerted an influence on their works and was the basis of the times' characteristic and personal characteristic of their works. Jian'anqizi had their opinions on the society, politics and life of those years, which related to their life choice and characteristic of works. As a writing group, Jian'anqizi played an outstanding role in the long Chinese literary developing history and have been approved by all, which is of certainty. First, they wrote a large number of works, a part of which has handed down to now. These works have varied subject matters and literary form, which include literary ones, practical ones, theoretical ones and even philosophical ones, historical ones, etc. They are complicated, but reached a fairly high level in the opening of subject matters, developing of literary forms and style of writing. Secondly, their literary works have a lot of common characteristics in the ideological content and the artistry as is called "common style", which includes one of the times to belong to the whole literary works of the times and to be determined by the characteristic of their times, and one of the group to belong to the group and to be determined by their similar life experiences and status. Lastly, works of everyone of Jian'anqizi have his personal characteristic as is called "personal style", which had something to do with their unique family background, experiences, individuality, temperament, talent and learning, etc. The style of literature is a sign that a writer's works are rape. It is a basis of understanding and evaluating their status in the literary history to study Jian'anqizi's tangible achievement and literary style of works.Jian'anqizi lived at the times of a social violent change between the Han Dynasty and the Wei Dynasty. Their works are of the character of transition in the style of literature and in the standing of the literary history. Their literary style, on the one hand, is the transition from the two Han Dynasties and before them to the Wei and JinDynasties and after them; on the other hand, is the transition from Cao Cao and before him to Cao Pi, Cao Zhi and after them. Jian'anqizi's literary works, for the literature in the two Han Dynasties, not only inherited something but also developed something in the subject matters, literary form and literary style; for the literature in the Wei, Jin and Northern-southern Dynasties, were the pioneer in the different respects, which is embodied in the variety of subject matters and literary forms, the individuality of the feeling content and elegance of the artistry of their literary works, etc. In a word, Jian'anqizi's status in the literary history is displayed on the character of the transition from Hanyin (the Literary Style in the Han Dynasty) to Weixiang (the Literary Style in the Wei Dynasty).
