| With the rapid development of the global economy,exchanges between countries have reached an unprecedented frequency.English,as the most common language in the world,is an important bridge for countries to communicate with each other.The im-portance of learning English is self-evident.In order to enable our students to learn Eng-lish better,English education in China is also undergoing constant reform.Group coop-erative learning English,as an effective learning mode,is popular among teachers and students.Guzhen junior high school has also started the group cooperative learning mode since September 2014.So our school English teachers start to practice and reflect on the group cooperative learning mode in English.The author divides this paper into six parts.The first part introduces the background and significance of the issue,the status quo of research at home and abroad,and intro-duces the research methods;The second part expounds the concept and theoretical basis of group cooperative learning.It includes the concept of group cooperative learning and English group cooperative learning.And it also includes the theory of the subject view of education and the theory of group cooperative learning;The third part illustrates the op-eration process of group cooperative learning from the teaching practice.It includes the group building,and the evaluation of the study group;The fourth part talks about the group cooperative learning in English teaching.It includes group cooperative learning applied in English listening and speaking class,reading class and writing class.And the group cooperative learning is applied to English vocabulary consolidation,recitation and oral English practice;The fifth part is a series of good results about English group coop-erative learning after a period of practice.It includes cultivating students’ cooperative spirit,the improvement of students’ interest and confidence in learning English,opportu-nities provided as many as possible for the students to listen and speak English,the im-provement of the students’ English writing,the improvement of the quality of teachers themselves,the exchange of the roles between teachers and students.The sixth part ana-lyzes and reflects the problems arising from the group cooperative learning in English teaching.This provide better methods and measures for the further group cooperative learning mode. |
