| Group Cooperative learning(GCL)has been in China since 1990 s,and there are many researches and experiments about it being carried out all over the country.It has been a common teaching method in many areas till now.However,as we can see,many problems occurred during the process of teaching,such as teachers still prefer traditional teaching methods to it,they aren’t able to organize the group cooperative learning strategy,and serious polarization between students has also been a serious obstacle.Therefore,this paper is meant to investigate the current situation in which the strategies were adopted in the junior high schools,analyze the the problems occurred during process of teaching in this way,and find out how hierarchical teaching can affect cooperative learning based on the author’s teaching practice in the junior high school.This paper first explores the theoretical bases and current situation in China and abroad.Second,the author analyzes the situation of GCL by investigating the teachers and students,especially the difference between the studying process of top students and poor students.Third,the author analyzes the causes of the problems in current situation and puts forward coping strategies.Fourth,the author carries out the teaching experiment and puts forward the strategies combining cooperative learning and hierarchical teaching in order to deal with the problems.The last part is the conclusion,summarizing the problems and strategies.This paper analyzes the current situation,finds out the problems and carries out the education experiment to reach the conclusion.The final strategies are as follows: how to put together a group;why to learn cooperatively;how to design a cooperative task;how to comment after a task;how to develop the consciousness of cooperating.Through this research,the author can focus more on the impact of cooperative learning,pay more attention to the attitudes and needs of different students.What’s more,the research on the efficiency of English teaching can be promoted. |
