This is a translation report.The source text includes Chapter 11 Conference Interpreting and Chapter 12 Court Interpreting of The Routledge Handbook of Interpreting.They are Informative text.These chapters mainly discusses conference interpreting and court interpreting as a profession,including domestic and foreign conditions,professional ethics,future challenges and directions.The main contents of this report are divided into four parts : First,the introduction of the translation project,including the project's background,purpose,significance,and report structure;Second,the research background,including the main content and analysis of source text,the introduction of translation ethics theory;Third,translation difficulties and methods,including the process of translation.The greatest challenge lies in the fact that the translator must not only keep the style of the source text but also make it meet the Chinese expressions.Long sentences and professional domain knowledge are also the main difficulties.The translation methods used are mainly: inversion,amplification and omission,word formation;Fourth,summarizing the experience,lessons learned and problems still to be solved in the translation process.
