| Teaching materials are important support for teaching Chinese as a second language.The quality of the teaching materials can not only affect teachers’ teaching,but also greatly influence students’ learning.The comparative analysis of different teaching materials is conducive to provide some relevant suggestions and opinions for the improvement and development of teaching materials in this domain.This paper considered Developing Chinese and Experiencing Chinese as research subjects.We compared and analysed the arrangement of prepositions in Developing Chinese and Experiencing Chinese concretely,and we found that they have their own characteristics in it.This paper analysed the prepositions in those aspects:the selection,items of interpretation,English comments,recurrence rate,examples of prepositions,exercises and the grades of prepositions.The arrangement of two sets of teaching materials in these aspects has both the same points and different points.In terms of the selection,the total amount of prepositions of these two teaching materials is similar.and the quantity of prepositions has decreased from primary level to advanced level.The difference lies in the fact that the two sets of teaching materials differ greatly in the selection of prepositions.In terms of interpretation items,both of them contain the contents of new words,pinyin,part of speech,and annotation.However,in terms of part of speech and annotation,different characteristics are shown in different stages.Both interpretations are basically based on English comments,and the comments have slightly different.In the case of recurrence,the two sets of textbooks rarely reproduce prepositions.In terms of examples of prepositions,the emphasis of this two is also different.About the design of exercises,Experiencing Chinese divides exercises into three parts: phonetics,grammar,and Chinese characters.The learners will be trained in form,tone,and meaning of Chinese,and Developing Chinese is mainly used exercises about grammar.Finally,both of them are similar in the grades of prepositionsThe paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter compared the selection of the prepositions in the two sets of teaching materials.The comparison focused on the quantity and the selection of prepositions.The second chapter compared interpretation of prepositions in two sets of teaching materials.The comparison focused on English comments,examples of prepositions,and exercises.The third chapter analyzed the grades of prepositions with referring to the syllabus on the level of Chinese vocabulary and Chinese characters,and specifically explains the distribution of different levels of prepositions in the three stages.In view of the comparison of the two sets of teaching materials in the previous chapters,the fourth chapter put forward an teaching suggestion that prepositional teaching should be based on the real life of learners.than we offered some spectific suggestions by means of lesson plans on “gei”(给)and“cong”(从). |
