Social adaptation is an important measure of the socialization of children and adolescents. It is also an individual’s adaptability or adaptation behavior in the process of socialization.Social adaptation is affected by many factors. With the popularization and development of the Internet, the Internet is not only instrumental, but it is also a digital new lifestyle that affects all aspects of daily life.Children and adolescents who are at an important stage of development will be influenced by the Internet and even have dramatic changes in their lifestyles,as well as in cognitive, social, and mental health. In this study,a follow-up study was conducted using primary and secondary school students as the research subjects to examine the impact of Internet use on the social adaptability(lonelyness,depression,self-esteem,and life satisfaction)of primary and middle school students, and to explore the current status and role of parental control over Internet use strategies. This study conducted a one-year follow-up study(two measurements)of 543 elementary and middle school students in Nanning, measured the use of online content by primary and middle school students, the strategies used by parental monitoring networks, and social adaptation such as loneliness,depression,self-esteem,and life satisfaction.Indicators;and 254 students in grades 7 and 8 to measure their perceived parental monitoring network use strategy, and the monitoring network use strategy adopted by parents, and found that:(1)The content frequency of the use of the network in primary and secondary schools is: In T1,in addition to the highest frequency of online entertainment in the ninth grade, the search frequency of information in other grades is the highest.Compared with the other two forms, the frequency of social communication among elementary and middle school students is the least;T2 The middle and junior high school students are mainly online entertainment. The primary school students mainly search for information, and social communication is still the least.(2)There are grades, gender differences, and the interaction effects between the two.In the two surveys, there were significant grade differences in the content of the three types of networks. The higher the grade, the higher the frequency of behaviors reported by the participants in each dimension of the use of the content of the network, and reached a significant level. In the junior high school,in T1,the interactive effect of grade and gender on information search is significant. In T2,there is a significant difference in online entertainment between genders, and boys have more online entertainment than girls.(3)There is significant correlation between the content of network use in primary and secondary schools, indicating that the three network use content forms have higher stability.(4)The information search of the students before and after the test was significantly negatively correlated with loneliness and depression, and positively correlated with life satisfaction and self-esteem.Pretest social communication was significantly negatively correlated with loneliness measured before and after, and positively correlated with posttest self-esteem.Post-test social communication was significantly negatively correlated with posttest loneliness.Pretest online entertainment was negatively correlated with posttest depression, posttest life satisfaction was positively correlated, posttest online entertainment was negatively correlated with pretest and posttest loneliness, and positively correlated with posttest self-esteem.(5)The results of cross-lag analysis show that there is a causal relationship between content use and social adaptation, and there is a certain degree of significant correlation between content use, social adaptation, and parental monitoring.Through stepwise regression analysis, the results show that in a certain period of time,T1 time information search can adjust the loneliness level of T2 time of primary and middle school students through the T1 time parental monitoringintervention strategy.Further simple slope analysis shows that high intervention strategies can significantly predict the loneliness of primary and middle school students.(6)The results of stepwise regression crossover analysis show that the content of primary and middle school students’ Internet use is significantly affected by their social adaptability.Loneliness and depression can simultaneously predict negative information search;self-esteem and life satisfaction can not only be simultaneously Sex prediction can also be used to predict information search for lag,and the forecast direction is forward prediction.
