Analysis The Musical Features And Performance Of Schumann Night Pieces Op.23

As one of the most important representatives of music during the romantic period in the 19 th century,Robert Schumann created a large number of excellent works.These works cover a wide range of topics including piano sets,art songs,chamber music,orchestras,and large choral works.The creation of piano sets is far-reaching and significant for Schumann and even later generations.This paper takes Schumann’s Night Pieces OP.23 as an example to analyze and study from three aspects and makes a rational analysis such as musical form,rhythm,melody and harmonic features.In terms of performance,the author combines her own personal experience,from the touch of keys,pedals,and velocity,citing phrases to analyze the difficult parts.At the end of the paper,the author combined the experience of the concert to improve the ability and level of the piano performance from the perspective of psychological factors and the importance of breathing emotions,hoping to provide more theoretical support and certain reference for performers to play Schumann’s other piano works.
