| Robert Schumann was one of the leading figures of Romantic music in the first half of the nineteenth century,not only as a composer and pianist but also as a highly literate music critic.Among his piano works,the most unique and Romantic are the piano suites he composed.Among these,"Scenes from Childhood" is extremely well known and is widely performed in concerts today.In this paper,we will analyze the principles of the arrangement and macro-architecture of the whole set from the perspective of a music learner,taking into account the characteristics of the time and the context of its composition,and using the experience of actual performance as a landing point to analyze each of the little pieces in the set one by one and to offer our own views and insights on how to play the work well. |
