The teaching of Chinese as a link between teaching and learning is also advancing with the times.The purpose of this paper is to provide a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the state of Chinese language education in the Kingdom of Cambodia,and to present a useful personal perspective on the future of Chinese language education..To enable Chinese learners in Cambodia to feel the charm of Chinese learning and receive good learning results and provide impetus to Chinese language development.The article selects primary spoken language textbooks,which are widely used and highly accepted,as the analysis case.Through the investigation of the history and current situation of Cambodian Chinese teaching,which is based on the "Four Principles";the contents and applicability of the teaching materials,analysis and an evaluation,which also provided insights on the selection and preparation of Chinese textbooks for the Confucius Institute in Cambodia.The paper's contents is structured thus:The first chapter: The introduction part mainly elaborates the research purpose,significance,method and status of this paper,and explains why the author wrote this paper.The second and third chapter: An Analysis of the Status of "Teaching Material" and "Teaching" in Chinese Early and Present.The fourth chapter: This chapter,carries on the detailed analysis of the textual analysis,the vocabulary,the grammar,the exercise,four parts of the teaching material,arranges the quantity,the proportion from each part,the characteristic in the content arrangement,the characteristic that the form sets up.The application of charts shows the statistical results intuitively.Based on this analysis,the successes and deficiencies of the two textbooks are summarized.The fifth and sixth chapter: Concludes that teaching Chinese as a foreign language should follow the principles of textbook compilation,meet the actual situation of teaching,and adopt the correct teaching and learning methods in order to achieve the desired effect.Through a detailed investigation of Chinese education in Cambodia and a multi-angle analysis of "Elementary Spoken Chinese",this article will put forward suggestions on the basis of which it is hoped that it can serve as a reference for the selection,compilation and improvement of teaching materials in the future.
