| As China’s overall national strength continues to increase,more and more people around the world begin to learn Chinese,and even some countries have incorporated Chinese into the national education system.In order to meet the growing demand for Chinese learning,Confucius Institute came into being.The Confucius Institute at the Cambodian Royal Institute is one of the Confucius Institutes in the world.Since its establishment in 2009,after nine years of development,it has achieved tremendous successes,but there have also been many problems in its rapid development.Based on teaching theories such as Second Language Teaching Methodology and Educational Psychology,the author conducted questionnaire surveys on the situation of teachers,the situation of learners,curriculum settings,and teaching materials of the Confucius Institute at the Cambodian Royal Institute,using questionnaires and interviews.The paper analyzes the problems in the Chinese teaching of the Confucius Institute at the Cambodian Royal Institute,and puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures.The contents of the research mainly include:Divided into introductions,this paper introduces the reasons for selecting the topic,the significance of the research,the purpose of the research,the relevant research review and the research method of the thesis.The second part briefly introduces the development history and major work of the Confucius Institute at the Cambodian Royal Institute.The third part is the key research content of this thesis.The data of three aspects of the teacher’s situation,the learner’s situation,the teaching content(curriculum setting,and the selection of the teaching materials)of the Confucius Institute are collected,and the causes of some trends and phenomena are analyzed.The fourth part focuses on the analysis of the third part of the “Guidance of teachers,the situation of learners,the opening of the curriculum,and the current situation of the use of teaching materials” and points out the problems in the teaching of Chinese at the Confucius Institute at the Royal Academy of Cambodia.For example,Chinese teachers have large mobility,single Chinese language courses are opened,and Cambodian localized Chinese textbooks have not yet been developed.In the fifth part,the author proposes five countermeasures for the problems existing in the Chinese teaching of the Confucius Institute at the Cambodian Royal Institute.1)Improve the quality of volunteers,train local Chinese teachers 2)Enrich curriculum settings,develop online Chinese courses 3)Respect Cambodian cultural customs,improve cross-cultural communication skills 4)Unify textbook use norms,develop Cambodian country-specific textbooks 5)Broaden feedback channels,Track changes in student needs.The sixth part is the conclusion of the research of this thesis.It summarizes the research of this thesis and points out the shortcomings.I hope to provide an effective reference for the Hanban and the Confucius Institute and Confucius Classroom in the country to further improve the quality of Chinese teaching in the Cambodia Confucius Institute.Can help the Institute to develop better and later teaching and research... |
