This thesis is composed of a translation practice with 10412 words and related theories,Feminist Translation Theory.It consists of the analysis of the original text,case analysis and conclusion of the practice.This translation report gives analysis and summary to the translation process of Chapter one to Chapter three of Autumn.Autumn,one of the season series published on 20th October 2016,is a new work of Ali Smith,an Scottish writer.In the future,the next three will be published in succession.The novel consists of three parts,more than seventy thousand words.It mainly talks about“what is time,what does time change,what does time leave?”The protagonists are an old man and a young woman.The writer is good at the description of daily life,social politics and oppinions with witty writing and meticulous observation.Ali Smith is nominated for the Booker Prize in2017 by this work.This translation report mainly analyzes the problems I encountered in the process,solutions,the translation theory and skills,and gives specific examples to present the translation process.Chapter one mainly introduces the object and content of the translation practice,Ali Smith's background and the reasons why the writer chooses this novel as the task.Chapter two illustrates the course of the translation process and specific steps of translation practice.Chapter three analyzes the translation skills used in the translation and the approaches to deal with difficult sentences.Chapter four summarizes what I have learnt from the translation.
