| The vocabulary teaching plays an important role in TCSOL,while teachers'teaching and students' learning rely mainly on vocabulary lists of the textbooks for foreigners.Nowadays,with the rapid developed of Internet,lots of three-dimensional textbooks become tools of students' self-studying.Thus,the annotation of the new words serves as the foundation of students' learning and understanding of the texts.Its importance is self-evident.This thesis takes the three-dimensional textbook serial Discovering Chinese Pro as the research object.Firstly,the thesis gives a general introduction of this textbook serial,and then makes the whole words lists into corpus.The annotation is classified into 5 categories,and then analyzed by quantity and quality.While analyzing,we put Chinese and English language into comparison from three dimensions:semantic,pragmatic and grammar.Modern Chinese Dictionary(7th edition),Oxford Advanced Learner s English-Chinese Dictionary(8th edition)and A Modern English-Chinese Chinese-English Dictionary are used as a tool,identifying if its annotation is rational or not.SLA and translation theory are also used.This thesis intends to identify its advangtages and disadvangtages on new words annotation of this textbook serial,and put forward modifying sugguestions on it.At last,we find that there are many advangtages on its English annotation in this textbook serial:firstly,it takes both word and morpheme into annotation;secondly,this textbook gives annotation on polysemants and homophones respectively;at the same time,function words are annotated clearly by using pure explanation phrases or sentences.Besides,this textbook works well on details while annotating.However,there are still some disadvangtages:3 obvious shortcomings shown as repetition on words,disordered lists and some annotation errors.Translating different words into the same English words,non-equivalent on translation,annotating by difficult words and inaccuracy on words' part of speech are also its shortcomings. |
