Same-translated method and same-translated words were paid attention to in the domain of teaching Chinese as a second language early. However, the number of the research is small and the contents are mainly focus on how to discriminate the same-translated words. Same-translated method in the text books reflects the coincidence relation between Chinese and English words. The complex coincidence relation will probably disturb foreign students when they use same-translated words. The same-translated method is likely to deepen this affect. This thesis tries to relate the complex coincidence relation to the errors of the foreign students with same-translated words. We will analyze the errors of the same-translated words made by native English speakers by using Chinese inter-language corpus. This analysis is on lexical semantics. We wonder if the affect of the same-translated word really exists. The extent and degree of the affect are also interested. We will give some suggestion on annotation of new words in textbooks. The thesis is mainly composed of several parts as follows:1. Giving a comprehensive review on the condition of the same-translated method in the Chinese language textbooks and choosing the target words.2. The relationship of same-translated words and their translated words are comprehensively observed.3. Analyzing the errors of the target words made by English native speakers.4. Pointing out the problems on annotation of new words in Chinese Language Textbooks for Overseas Learners. This is my study about the characteristics of the same-translated words and errors of the English native speakers. The research of the same-translated words reflects the complex correspondence relation between Chinese and English and relates the correspondence relation between two languages to the errors of the learners. It provides a new angle of view to the Chinese inter-language lexical research. Furthermore, this thesis gives some suggestions on new words annotation in textbooks and the Chinese words teaching.
