Interpreting Practice Report Under The Guidance Of The Interpretation Theory:A Speech Of Kaifu Li:The Story Of Google In China

With the continuous improvement of China's international status,the continuous increase in economic strength,the continuous progress in the development of science and technology,and the deepening of the level of reform and opening up,the exchanges between China and other countries have become increasingly frequent.International conferences and speeches are an important platform for information exchange between China and the outside world.Its form covers a wide range of fields: politics,culture,science and technology.The corpus also shows a trend of specialization,technology,and generalization,and has high requirements for the interpreter's professional level,background knowledge,cognitive ability and even psychological quality.The author chose Kaifu Li's speech at Carnegie Mellon University as a research object to perform simulated interpreting practice.The application value of this thesis topic lies in its professional and practical content,the language is concise and easy to understand,the domestic audience can use this to understand the development ideas of a company such as Google,to meet the audience for the internationalization of large companies in China's development of ideas and history.This lecture starts from a realistic perspective and introduces Google's ideas and innovations in the process of localization in China,from the development direction and concept set by Google at the beginning of China's creation,to Google's research and attempts to adapt to Chinese culture and the economic environment of China.The interpreting practice report is based on the theory of interpretation.Under the guidance of this theory,the author conducts comparative analysis of texts through translation,uses summarization and other research methods to sort out and summarize numerous problems that have appeared in the process of simulated interpreting,and at the same time has improved the skills of interpretation.The author analyzes,summarizes,and looks forward to the problems that arise in this interpreting practice.This paper summarizes the research results of this dissertation,draws conclusions from the research of this dissertation,and points out the implications of the study.It also points out the remaining shortcomings and provides guidance for the translator's later interpretation practice.
