A Study Of The Meng Jiangnu River

In the east of the Qin River,north of the Yellow River,south of the Wei River and west of Weihui,there are two Meng Jiangnu rivers.The West Meng Jiangnv River is in the west of Xinxiang.The Dong Meng Jiangnv River is in the southeast of Xinxiang,it's connection point with the Qing River is in the northeast of Weihui.The former East Meng Jiangnu River was only a tributary of the West Meng Jiangnu River,Guangxu 29 years(1903),which formed the current pattern of water system after the construction of pinghan railway.Based on the Meng Jiangnu River's value of water transportation,this paper expounds the development of the water transportation from the Sui dynastiy to Qing dynasty.The mainstream West Meng Jiangnv River since from Hou Xiaozhao village of Huojia,going to the northeast,acrossed Han Xiaoying,Xicui Zhuang,Renwang,Yanjin Macun.Finally in the northwest of weihui city to the Wei River.It is mentioned in the geographical literatures of Qing dynasty,which is represented by Jiqing Chongxiu Yitongzhi,that it is the ruin of the Yongji Canal in Sui dynastiy.However,due to the fact that the record was briefly met with the opposition of Mr.Yan,yan thought that the Xiaodan River was the ruin of the Yongji Canal.this view has been widely recognized.This paper argues that the East Meng Jiangnu River and West Meng Jiangnu River are the ruins of The Old Qin River of The Yongji Canal.There are two branches on the upsteeam of the East Meng Jiangnu River.Both from Huojia Feng Zhuang,meet with each other in east Xiaohe village.Going north across Jiatun,Yangshu,Guandi,Qiaoxie,meet with the West Meng Jiangnv River at Yanjin Macun.This river is roughly divided from the Yellow River in the Northern Song dynasty,goes northeast to Wei River at Weihui.In this paper,we argue that the East Meng Jiangnu River is likely to be the relic of the "Yellow Entrance" project in 1705.It is not hard to see that the unified dynasty,such as Sui and Tang,had tried to cross the river between the Yellow River and the Hai River through Meng Jiangnu River.The Song dynasty also tried to use the Meng Jiangnu River to communicate the water transportion of the Yellow River to the Bai River.This is the centralized embodiment and value of the water transportation function of Meng Jiangnu River.In addition,the Wei river and the Yellow are close at the Meng Jiangnu area.at the beginning of the yuan and Ming dynasties established,It is often used in the land of this area to reach the purpose of reaching the north and south,when the Beijing-hangzhou Grand Canal failed to play its role.Though the meng jiangnu river to communicate Qin and Wei river,the value of water transportation is needless to say.Using Meng Jiangnu River as the water transport channel of Qin and Wei,it can greatly improve the safety factor of south grain.In addition to the canal transportation function,there has been prevailed over the proposal of using meng jiangnu river to divide the water in Ming dynasty.In view of this,many of the wise men in Yuan and Ming dynasties have proposed to dredge meng jiangnu river.Due to the gradual decline of the water environment of mengjiang river,and all kinds of realistic and man-made reasons failed.At the beginning of the established of the Qing dynasty has inherited the precious heritage of Hutong river,and absorbs the Yuan and Ming dynasties "use of meng jiangnu river through the north-south waterway" experiences from the failure.There is no further attention to Meng Jiangnu River.This article is closely related to the water transportion value of the Meng Jiangnu River.Introduced the formation and evolution of mengjiang river in the order of time from the Sui dynasty to Tang dynasty.From the perspective of historical geography,it examines the occurrence,development,decline and eventual extinction of its water transport function.This typical case is analyzed in order to give readers a clear and comprehensive understanding of the current water environment crisis.
