The Influence Of The New Generation Migrant Workers’ Relative Deprivation On Life Satisfaction:the Role Of Social Support

New generation of migrant workers are pointed out that since the 1980 s,was born in aged 17 to 37 years old,have rural registered permanent residence,came to the city young people engaged in non-agricultural industries.Generational shift as migrant workers,new generation of migrant workers have gradually become the main force for the labor market,they are an integral part of the city construction.New generation of migrant’s workers life happiness and mental health and social harmony and stability are closely linked.At present,the quantitative study of new generation migrant workers’sense of relative deprivation is not much,especially the relevant measurement tools is less,and not be unified.Of this study was to explore new generation migrant workers’sense of relative deprivation content structure,as well as to the relationship of the relative deprivation and life satisfaction of new generation,and the relationship between their relative deprivation,life satisfaction and social support.The results will be to improve the new generation of migrant workers to provide theoretical basis for the establishment of related policies on life satisfaction.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)the questionnaire of the new generation of migrant workers has good reliability and validity of the questionnaire including the economic and life(inner group),the economic and life(outer group)relative deprivation,the social welfare(outer group)relative deprivation and the development prospect relative deprivation four dimensions.(2)The relative deprivationthe of the new generation migrant workers is in the medium level,significant differences on sex and marriage type,in the education level and income level does not exist significant differences.(3)The life satisfaction of the new generation of migrant workers is in the average level,significant differences on sex and marriage type,in the education level and income level does not exist significant differences.The social support of the new generation of migrant workers is low,Which is lack of objective support,good in subjective support,poor in the use of support.(4)The relative deprivation of the migrant workers has significant negative prediction function in their life satisfaction.(5)Social support has adjustment function between the relationship of relative deprivation and life satisfaction,the high level of the social support can make the negative impact of relative deprivation on lifesatisfaction weakened.
