Abstract/Summary:
The word “Haoxiang” has a high frequency of use in both written and spoken English,but there has been no in-depth research on its system.Through description and interpretation,this paper examines its textual function from the perspective of synchronicity and diachronism,combining the syntactic semantic features of “Haoxiang”.The full text consists of five chapters.:The first chapter mainly introduces the reason and the significance of the topic,the scope of the study of this article,the predecessor of such problems and related problems,this paper introduces the present situation of the research institute with the method,theory and corpus sources.The second chapter mainly investigates the semantic characteristic of the “Haoxiang” and its semantic structure model,the modal adverb “Haoxiang” has metaphorical similarity,indefinite speculation and sensory meaning,no definition and subjective euphemistic semantic features.In addition,it also examines the syntactical position and sentence type distributions of “Haoxiang”,it can be used at the beginning of a sentence,in a sentence,at the end of a sentence,alone,and has a more flexible syntactic distribution;it can appear in declarative sentences,interrogative sentences,and exclamatory sentences,and cannot appear in imperative sentences.The third chapter is based on the chapter,and analyzes the differences in the language unit,the shift in the sentence,and the shift in the function of the “Haoxiang” in the text,and analyzes the “Haoxiang” in the text.The cohesion approach in Chinese and its co-occurrence of connected components.In addition,from the perspective of textual pragmatics,the paper focuses on the analysis of the “pretend” function,the highlighting function,the subjective evaluation function,and the discourse marking function in the paper.It follows that “Haoxiang” has strong textual cohesion and a variety of chapter pragmatic functions.The fourth chapter analyzes the process of lexicalization and grammaticalization of “Haoxiang” from a diachronic perspective,and discusses the motivations and mechanisms of its lexicalization and grammaticalization,mainly including reanalysis,metaphorical mechanisms,the subjective role and vocabulary of dual tendency.The fifth chapter combines the research results of “Haoxiang” ontology and puts forward the teaching design for “Haoxiang”.The concluding part points out the main points of the thesis and the shortcomings of the thesis and the areas to be improved.
