The Taoism of Mount Longhu rose in Song Dynasty, developed in Yuan Dynasty and reached its heyday in Ming Dynasty. As a group with high political status and wide social influence,Taoist had frequent interactions with the local society. Its political status in the court also influenced its interactions with the local society. This paper has been studied from four parts. The first part mainly discusses the geographical origin and identity of t he Taoist in Mount Longhu.During Song and Yuan dynasties, the Taoists of Mount Longhu mainly came from Xinzhou,Raozhou and Fuzhou, due to the traffic, fame and familiarity, only few of them were from other provinces. The Outstanding Taoist Priests of Mount Longhu in Yuan Dynasty were born in literary or even bureaucratic families.Among them were people who stopped the imperial examinations, who did not want to work with the imperial court, who sought for Taoism. The second part mainly discusses the interactions between Taoist priests of Mount Longhu and the local government. The Taoists in Mount Longhu provided religious services to the local official,to enhance Taoists' social influence and political status;Local officials,on the other hand, used their religious services to stabilize the people, maintain stability and unity, and to improve their performance. However, there is always a conflict between the local government and Taoist priests on the issue of taxation. When Celestial Master Chang used the power of the court, the local government had to submit to him.Zhang Yuanji's case in Ming revealed that the Celestial Master Chang family had became a royal family who did not dare to offend, because they had the emperor's favor. The third part mainly studies the interactions between Taoist priest and the surrounding family in Mount Longhu. From the marriages objects of Celestial Master Chang and his family members in Song,Yuan and Ming Dynasties,we learned that their marriage partners extended from ordinary family to upper level family and the outside, with the improvement of their political status. The dispute between the Ni's family and the Taoist priest in the Shang Qing, showed that the Taoism in Mount Longhu was flourishing, however, its power never divorced from the local authorities, still need to co-exist with the local forces. The fourth part mainly studies the interactions between the Taoist of Mount Longhu and the local literati. The local literati and Mount Longhu Taoist had wide acquaintance in Yuan Dynasty.Because their political future was blocked.,the Taoist could give him some political help.Taoists' good quality and conduct also mentally inspired them.In Ming Dynasty,Zhang Yuchu had a higher literacy. He was friends with many local literati, they hold academic discussions, poetry discussions, and companion picnic quite often.Whether it is the geographical source of the Mount Longhu Taoist,or its association with the local government, the surrounding family and the local literati, the political status of the Taoist plays a key role. But in order to base on the local society,it still needs to co-exist with all kinds of groups in the local society.
