Language and culture are inseparable as a whole.One of the purposes of teaching Chinese as a second language is to cultivate and improve the ability of learners to communicate in Chinese.In other words,in order to achieve this goal,in the teaching process,we should take the culture teaching as an important part of Chinese teaching.When choosing explanation of Chinese culture,the first thing what should pay attention to choose the most representative,most with modern spirit in China,but also for specific learners according to their learning level and learning characteristics.taking Thailand elephant as the influence for the people of Thailand to introduce Chinese dragon culture,and according to the textbook "experiencing Chinese"volume fourth class "I love elephants"into the dragon and elephant culture study,and explain the elephant culture by methods of comparing analyzing.From the cultural connotation of the cover,this paper analyzes the similarities and differences between two kinds of animals under different cultural background,the author made the first teaching design and teaching practice,the analysis found that the defects of its teaching effect feedback,so make specific detailed questionnaire survey,more than listen to the opinions of the learners,and to let the students involved in the concrete teaching design,through the way of questionnaire survey,understand the students to grasp the situation,Tyrone and elephant in order to highlight the teaching difficult point,adjust the teaching design.After analysis of the learner's questionnaire,found that most of the students want to know is elephant knowledge,such as image,symbolic,power and status in China and so on,and hope that the teacher uses some teaching method,combined with the multimedia,more activities to more intuitive experience for elephant experience.Make relevant adjustment according to the survey feedback modification,the optimization of teaching design for more efficient,hope for the better and more smoothly in the future to carry out the teaching Chinese as a foreign language to offer help.
