Social Class Differences In Study Of Ethnic Prejudice

The study of prejudice is mainly concentrated in the current domestic academia prejudice,bias control and eliminate the cause of formation of and the related factors of research bias.Ethnic prejudices as one of the,with its related factors to explore intergroup contact theory,cluster attribution error theory and social identity theory.Which social class,as an important factor of affect national prejudice is the research object of this study.This research adopts the Mac Arthur ladder start method start social stratum,high social status of low social status and low social status of high social status of the differences between ethnic prejudice.Ethnic prejudice use psychological distance scale scores and situational materials subject to test the influence of social class of national prejudice,by the introduction of fair belief can reduce high bias group.Results found that relative to the low social stratum of high social class,the high social class prejudice against low social class is more significant.Ethnic prejudice use psychological distance scale and situational materials testing to test respectively.Results show that compared with the low social class,the high social class is more likely to produce a low social class,ethnic prejudice,concrete embodiment in the active or passive contact as indicators of social distance is greater than the lower social class in view of the high social class that distance,situation induced ethnic prejudice also significantly higher than the low social class.Use fair sense of faith of high social class bias to intervene,the results show that the active contact distance under the conditions of society are obviously inhibition and abate,but under the condition of passive contact condition and situation induced weakened national prejudices are not obvious.The innovation of this study is that the occurrence of ethnic prejudice is more prone to the high in social status of national members;Prejudice can be measured using initiative passive social distance,social distance and inducing method,three related or consistency,but fair belief to eliminate the effect of bias is mainly in the aspect of initiative social distance perception.That fair if those beliefs by adjusting the active tendency of self to impact bias.
