For the purpose of aesthetic education,children’s picture book which combines a wide diversity of disciplines like literature,aesthetics,pedagogy,psychology etc.has transcended its natural and social cognition function,and has risen to the height of cultural values and cultural missions,becoming an indispensable form of language for contemporary children’s education.However,there are still many problems in the creation of contemporary Chinese children’s books and the demands of the audience..How to solve these problems is exactly one of the important issues of art creators and art critics.First of all,from aesthetic perspective of children’s picture book,this paper focuses on the subject content,visual art symbol and the aesthetic value of picture book design.At the same time,the study on aesthetic education of children’s picture book is based on the quotation and conclusion of the children’s education psychology theory involved in the picture books.Secondly,taking "children standard first" as the starting point of children’s picture book creation,this study,in view of the "value" definition of academic requirements,concentrates on the enlightenment education and psychological adjustment.On one hand,the thesis discusses how the enlightening education opens children’s cognitive consciousness as social natural person.On the other hand,it also explores the advantages of children’s picture books in psychology during the cognitive development process of children,which demonstrates the positive influence of children’s picture books on children’s psychological adjustment.Thirdly,based on the research of the intrinsic value of children’s picture books,this study proposes the cultural mission requirements on the form of art.In the study of the cultural value of children’s picture books,the paper not only sorts out the sources of cultural values,but also explores the ideal value of “truth,kindness and beauty”,and analyzes the effect of children’s picture books on and the establishment of children’s cognitive values.Finally,the paper states the the problems appeared in the development process of localization of contemporary Chinese children’s picture books.The problems include the supply-demand relationship issues between social development and human needs,appropriateness of art creation and aesthetic appeal as well as how to show the humanistic spirit in Chinese original picture book under the contemporary cultural context These are the core issues of this thesis.
