This is a project report on the translation of Now Thrive the Armourers, which was recommended to me by my tutor and translated by my fellow student and me.It is a non-fiction book on Korean War(June 25,1950—July 27,1953),tracing and portraying the activities of the 1st Battalion of the Gloucestershire Regiment during the retreat from Pyongyang and the subsequent events leading up to the battle of Solma-ri—the Imjin Battle. This translation report is composed of two main parts:the first part includes four chapters, namely introduction, process description, difficulties and solutions, and conclusion;the second part is appendix, including the source text and its translated version.Chapter one covers the description of the project, the objectives and the significance of the project.Chapter two comprises pre-translation preparations, translation process, and after-translation work.Chapter three consists of different types of difficulties in translation and solutions to them.Chapter four presents lessons learned from this translation project and also limitations. To summarize the translation project, the author lists the difficulties met in the process of translating and presents the solutions as well,in the hope that it can serve as a reference for the translation of the same kind in future.
