Practice Report Of Consecutive Interpreting Of The Amway's Espring Conference In Hohhot

As a report on English to Chinese consecutive interpreting(E-C CI)with text,this dissertation describes one CI task conducted by the author for the Amway's eSpring Conference in Hohhot and analyzes the interpreting of the speech delivered by the American expert who is telling people about the eSpring well to discuss common difficulties of E-C CI as well as possible coping strategies and solutions.Assuming that the task process consists of"pre-interpretation preparation and"interpreting",the pre-interpreting preparation is divided into three phases according to the time order,each with a different focus and function,as well as preparations,from which typical examples are selected for further analysis from two perspectives:(1)the interpretation of the long and difficult sentences in the site(2)Analysis of hesitation,misinterpretation and correction.Through the task description and analysis,it is concluded into two points:(1)the pre-interpretation preparation plays a very important role in task,which directly determines the quality of the interpretation;(2)if emergency situations happen in the interpreting site,the interpreter should keep calm and try to deal with the problems unhurriedly.
