Objective1.To develop a questionnaire on eating knowledge and skills for caregivers of stroke with dysphagia,test their reliability and validity.2.Investigate the current status on the needs of the caregivers of stroke patients with dysphagia,provide basis for personalized health education for caregivers.Methods1.Combined with domestic and foreign guidelines,literature review,semi-structured interview and group discussion,to form the item pool of the questionnaire on eating knowledge and skills for caregivers of stroke patients with dysphagia.2.Delphi expert consultation with experts who met the selection criteria,screened the entries that met the inclusion criteria to form a questionnaire on eating knowledge and skills for caregivers of stroke patients with dysphagia.3.Adopting the convenience sampling method and distribute questionnaires on-site to the caregivers of stroke patients with dysphagia,the questionnaires were screened for items and reliability and validity test,then analyze the needs of caregivers of patients with stroke and dysphagia.Results1.A total of 25 experts in stroke nursing were invited to conduct two rounds of Delphi method expert consultations.The experts came from 17 cities in 11 provinces across China.18 were with deputy senior titles or above,18 were with bachelor's degree,5were with master's degree,2 with doctor's degree,with an average age of 43.48±5.12and an average working years of 23.36±6.58.The effective return rates of the two rounds expert consultation were 100%and 92%,the expert opinion submission rates were 48%and 26.1%,the mean value of the expert authority score were 0.922 and0.924.The mean value of the importance score of the dimensions were 4.67 and 4.56,the mean value of the importance score of the items were 4.58 and 4.64.The mean value of the coefficients variation of the dimensions were 0.11 and 0.14,the mean value of the coefficients variation of the items were 0.12 and 0.11.The dimensional expert coordination coefficients were 0.218 and 0.252,the item's expert coordination coefficients were 0.289 and 0.302(P<0.05).A total of 2 entries and 5 dimensions were modified,9 entries were deleted,10 entries were added,then the questionnaire on eating knowledge and skills for caregivers of stroke with dysphagia with 6 dimensions and 52 items was formed.2.Using the questionnaires to survey 180 caregivers of stroke patients with dysphagia,172 valid questionnaires were recycled,with an effective recycling rate of95.6%,2 entries were deleted after entry filtering.The Cronbach's?coefficient of the questionnaire is 0.967,the Cronbach's?coefficient of each dimension is between0.881?0.990,the half-reliability of the questionnaire is 0.995,and the half-reliability of each dimension is between 0.944?0.995.The KMO value of the questionnaire is0.789,the Bartlett's sphericity test ?~2 value is 3124.594(P<0.001).6 factors were extracted after two rounds of factor analysis,the cumulative variance contribution rate is 97.785%,the load factor of each entry after the axis is greater than 0.7 and there is no multiple load.3.The average score of the questionnaire was 153.86±40.74(total score:250),The scores of each dimension from high to low were nutrition index(3.56±1.03),oral feeding knowledge(3.44±1.28),swallowing training methods(3.36±1.26),knowledge of dysphagia(3.34±1.08),prevention and treatment of complications(3.23±1.34),tube feeding knowledge(2.46±1.49).The item“I want to know how to help patients eat safely”had the highest average score(3.65±1.78),“I want to know how to clean tube feeding products”had the lowest average score(2.24±1.37).Conclusion1.The questionnaire on eating knowledge and skills for caregivers of stroke with dysphagia has good reliability and validity,can be used as a tool for medical stuff to assess the needs for the caregivers on eating knowledge and skills of stroke patients with dysphagia.2.Caregivers of stroke patients with dysphagia have a moderate need for eating knowledge and skills,caregivers have the highest need for nutritional knowledge and the lowest need for tube feeding knowledge,medical staff should provide targeted health education measures according to the needs of caregivers to improve their ability to care.
