Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Postherpetic Neuralgia With Tiaoshenzhitong Stitch And Fire-needle

Objective: to observe the clinical efficacy of postherpetic neuralgia with tiaoshenzhitong stitch and fire-needle,in order to provide a safe and new treatment method to treat the postherpetic neuralgia.Methods: a random number table method was adopted to randomly divide 70 patients of postherpetic neuralgia into observation group and control group,and 35 cases in each group.In the observation group,we used the tiaoshenzhitong stitch and fire-needle to treat the patients,the acupoints for acupuncture are: Ashixue,Neiguan(PC6),Auricular point shenmen,Zhigou(SJ6),Zusanli(ST36).In the control group,we treated the patients with conventional acupuncture method.We treated the patients once every two days,three times is a course of treatment,one day interval between two courses of treatment,total treatment three sessions.At the beginning of the treatment and after the treatment,we conduct efficacy evaluation with visual analogue scale(VAS),dermatology life quality index(DLQI),sleep efficiency and self-rating depression scale(SDS),and the results were statistically analyzed.Results: In this study,70 patients of postherpetic neuralgia were included,3 cases were missed,67 cases were observed,and the loss rate was 4.29%,which was in line with the sample loss rate stipulated in the plan.1.General comparative analysis: there was no significant difference between the two groups in age,gender,course of disease,baseline of visual analogue scale(VAS),dermatology life quality index(DLQI),sleep efficiency and self-rating depression scale(SDS)(P > 0.05),indicating that the two groups were comparable.2.Comprehensive efficacy evaluation and analysis: after the third course of treatment,the total efficiency was 94.12% in the observation group,and 84.84% in the control group,with significant difference(P<0.05).3.Visual analogue scale(VAS)score comparison: after the third course of treatment,the two groups of patients before and after treatment were compared in the assessment group,the difference was very significant(P<0.01);The difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.05).4.Dermatology life quality index(DLQI)score comparison: after the third course of treatment,there were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.01).The difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.05).5.Comparison of sleep efficiency : after the third course of treatment,there were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.01).The difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.01).6.Self-rating depression scale(SDS)score comparison: after the third course of treatment,there were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.01).The difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Through this experiment,we find tiaoshenzhitong stitch and fire-needle can effectively relief the pain of the patients who have postherpetic neuralgia,improve the quality of their lives and improve the patients’ sleep quality and depression.The curative effect is remarkable and superior to the traditional acupuncture therapy,it is safe and reliable,and the operation is simple.This method is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
