Objective: To investigate the effect of solifenacin and thioctic acid combination therapy on diabetic neurogenic bladder complicated with symptoms of overactive bladder. Methods: 92 cases of patients with diabetic neurogenic bladder complicated with symptoms of overactive bladder were randomly divided into three groups: control group(n=31),solifenacin group(n=31),and solifenacin combined with thioctic acid group(n=30).Control group was treated with general therapy such as bladder fuction training and glycemic control treatment.Solifenacin group was treated with solifenacin 5mg once a day on the basis of general therapy.Solifenacin combined with thioctic acid group was treated with solifenacin 5mg once a day, thioctic acid 300 mg ivgtt once a day on the basis of general therapy. The treatment course is four weeks.Duration the treatment, everyone has enough sleep and does not take foods or drugs that affecting urination.FBG?Hb A1c?BMI?OABSS?Qmax?Qave?VV?urination diary and adverse reactions were recorded. Results: After four weeks medication,92 cases can be assessabled. The frequency of urination in a day, times of nocturia, frequency of urgency, frequency of urinary incontinence, and OABSS were lower(P<0.05),while Qmax,Qave, and VV were higher in solifenacin combined with thioctic acid group than in control group and solifenacin group(P<0.05).The frequency of urination in a day, times of nocturia, frequency of urgency, frequency of urinary incontinence, and OABSS were lower(P<0.05),while Qmax,Qave, and VV were higher in solifenacin group than in control group(P<0.05)than in Control group and solifenacin group(P<0.05).No adverse event occurred in control group,3.23% patients experienced the adverse event in solifenacin group(one patient experienced the adverse reactions of xerostomia),3.33% patients experiencedthe adverse event in solifenacin combined with thioctic acid group(one patient experienced the adverse reactions of xerostomia),the difference between the three groups was not significant(P>0.05).Conclusion: Solifenacin and thioctic acid combination therapy on diabetic neurogenic bladder complicated with symptoms of overactive bladder is effective and safe.
